Impact of an education program on metabolic indicators for patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention in Erbil city

Background: Regular education program provides better medication and diet adherence leading to metabolic control. Therefore, the aim of study was conducted improve indicators including body mass index (BMI), blood pressure (BP), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density (HDL). Methods: A quasi-experimental among 200 patients with coronary heart disease in Erbil City from March 2021 May 2022, participants were randomly assigned control intervention groups. The performed for group; measured before attending three months later after ending program. Results: There a high statistically significant difference between groups (p<0.00) (p<0.00), given program, all improved (body p<0.00, systolic diastolic BP HbA1c p<0.02 cholesterol triglyceride p<0.03, low, HDL p<0.00).Conclusion: findings proved that programs had positive effect on undergoing percutaneous intervention.
